Carved deep into solid bedrock 30 metres beneath the Sport & Spa Hotel Vesileppis in Leppävirta, Vesileppis Ski Arena is an underground Nordic skiing marvel. The subterranean cavern houses a 1,100-metre real-snow ski circuit with a 14-metre vertical elevation change, offering dual classic tracks and a wide skate lane. Cooled to -5°C year-round, the underground arena also features the famous Moomin Ice Cave sculpture exhibition, curling sheets, and direct internal elevator connections to the spa and hotel above.
